Extension springs
Extension springs, also known as tension springs, are a type of helical spring that withstands axial tension.

Why choose extension springs
Although some advanced materials may increase costs, overall, extension springs have a high cost-effectiveness due to their versatility and durability.
High strength
The load-bearing capacity of the tension spring is outstanding among elastic elements and can withstand large stresses.
High reliability
Since the design and processing of the tension spring are scientifically and rigorously calculated and optimized, there are almost no problems such as failure or load drop in actual applications.
Easy processing
Compared with other forms of springs, tension springs are easier to manufacture and can be tailored to specific requirements.
Strong adaptability
The tension spring can maintain stable performance in various environments (such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, etc.), so it can work normally in various complex environments.
How to custom extension springs
MYD has dozens of spring machines, equipped with dedicated spring engineers, and has the ability to produce large quantities of customized springs.
Demand analysis
Communicate with customers to understand specific needs, including spring type (compression spring, tension spring, torsion spring, etc.), purpose, working environment, load requirements, size, etc.
Design and calculation
According to customer needs, use professional spring design software or formulas (such as Hooke’s law) to calculate and determine the key parameters of the spring, such as material, wire diameter, number of turns, free length, and end treatment method.
Prototype production
According to the design drawings, select suitable materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, piano wire, etc.) and make spring prototypes through cold forming or hot forming processes. This stage may require the use of spring machines, CNC lathes, wire-cutting machines and other equipment.
Test verification
Perform functional and performance tests on the produced spring prototype, including but not limited to load testing, fatigue testing, dimensional inspection, etc., to ensure that it meets the design requirements and relevant standards. If the test results do not meet the standards, it is necessary to return to the design stage for adjustment.
Mass production
After the design is confirmed to be correct, it enters the mass production stage. At this time, it is necessary to strictly control the quality of the production process, to ensure that each spring meets the quality standards.
Final inspection and packaging
After completing all processes, the spring is subjected to final quality inspection, and qualified products are properly packaged and ready for delivery to customers.
Application industries
Due to its unique structure, superior performance and wide range of applications, the extension spring has become an indispensable and important component in modern industry and daily life. By selecting the right materials and precise design, the extension spring can maximize its service life and performance to meet various complex usage requirements.
